MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE (Department of Agriculture) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 15th September 1972 S.O. 599(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred toy section 5 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Agriculture (Department of Agricul- ture) No. S.O. 557(E), dated the 18th August, 1972 the Central Government hereby directs that the powers conferred, on it by section 3 of the said Act to make orders under clauses (c), (d), (f), (h), (i) and (j) of sub-section (2) of that section shall, in relation to the cattle fodder of any of the varieties specified in the Schedule hereto annexed, toe exerciseable also by the Collectors of Ahmedabad, Amreli, Kutch, Kaira, Gandhinagar, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Dangs, Panchmahals, Banaskantha, Broach, Bhavnagar, Mehsana, Rajkot, Baroda, Bulsar, Sabarkantha, Surat and Surendranagar districts of Gujarat State in their respective districts.
This order shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette of India and shall remain in force upto and inclusive of the 31st January. 1973 THE SCHEDULE Varieties of Cattle Fodder
(i) Hay. (ii) Grass. (iii) Chara. (iv) Kadabi. (v) Karab or Karabi. (vi) Bhusa. (vii) Paddy straw.
