G.S.R. 414(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (i) of sub-rule (1) of rule 173A of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes, with effect from the 1st October, 1972, the following further amendment to the notification of the Government of India In the Ministry of Finance (Depart- ment of Revenue and Insurance) No, 171/69-CE, dated the 21st June, 1969, namely:—

In clause (2) of the said notification, the figures "38," shall be omitted.
