New Delhi, the 20th September 1972
S.R.O. 13-E.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 14 of the Cantonments Act, 1824 (2 of 1924), the Central Government, being satisfied that, for the administration of the Cantonment, it is desirable to vary the constitution of the Cantonment Board, AMBALA, makes a declaration to that effect and varies the constitution of the said Board with effect from the 28th September, 1972. the date of expiry of the present term of office of the Board constituted under section 13 of the said Act.
Consequent upon the making of the above declaration, the Board in AMBALA Cantonment shall consist of the following members:—
(a) the Officer Commanding the Station;
(b) one Military officer nominated by name by the Officer Commanding the
Station by order in writing;
(c) one member, not being a person in the service of the Government,
