SO. 651 ( E ) ,- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertaking ) Act , 1970 ( 5 of 1970 ) , and in supersession of the notifications of the GoGovernment of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Banking ) No. F. 1 ( 7 ) -PSB -NB / 71 , dated the 17th November , 1971 , and the 15th March , 1972 , the Central Government , after consulta- tion with the Reserve Bank , hereby makes the following Scheme further to amend the Nationalised Banks ( Management and Miscellaneous Provisions ) Scheme , 1970, namely:-
1. ( 1 ) This Scheme may be called the Nationalised Banks ( Management and Miscellaneous Provisions ) ( Third Amendment ) Scheme , 1972 .
( 2 ) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Nationalised Banks ( Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Schema, 1970 , ( hereinafter referred to as the said Scheme ) , in clause 15, in sub- clause ( 1 ) , for the word " five" , the word " six" shall be substituted .

3. In the Second Schedule to the said Scheme , ---
(a) in item 2 , for the words and brackets " States of Assam ( including Meghalaya ) , Nagaland , West Bengal , Bihar and Orissa and the Union territories of Manipur , Tripura and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands " , the words " States of West Bengal , Bihar and Orissa and the Union territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands " shall be substituted;
( b ) after item 2 , the following item shall be inserted , namely:--
" 2A . The North Eastern Area shall consist of the States of Assam , Mani- pur , Meghalaya , Nagaland and Tripura and the Union territories of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram . " ;
(c) for item 4 , the following item shall be substituted , namely:--
"4. The Northern Area shall consist of the States of Jammu and Kashmir , Punjab . Haryana , Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan and the Union territories of Chandigarh and Delhi . "

का० प्रा० 651 ( प्र ) बैंककारी कम्पनी ( उपक्रमों का अर्जन और अन्तरण ) अधिनियम, 1970 ( 1970 का 5 ) की धारा 9 द्वारा प्रश्त्त शक्तित्रों का प्रयोग करते हुए और भारत सरकार के वित्त मंत्रालय ( बैंकिंग विभाग ) की अधिसूचनाएं म ० एफ ० 1 ( 7 ) -पी एम बी -एन बी/ 71 , तारीख 17 नवम्बर , 1971 और 15 मार्च , 1972 को अधिक्रांत करते हुए केन्द्रीय सरकार , रिजर्व बैंक से परामर्श के पश्चात्, राष्ट्रीयकृत बैंक ( प्रबन्ध और प्रक्रीर्ण उपबन्ध ) स्क्रीम , 1970 में और संशोधन करने के लिए , एतद्वारा निम्नलिखित स्कीम बनाती है अर्थात्ः--
1. ( 1 ) इन स्कोम का नाम राष्ट्रीयकृत बैंक ( प्रबंध प्रौर प्रकोर्ण उपबंध ) ( तृतीय संशोधन ) स्कीम , 1972 है ।
( 2) यह राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होगी ।
2. राष्ट्रीयकृत बैंक ( प्रबन्ध और प्रकीर्ण उपबन्ध ) स्कीम , 1970 में ( जिसे इनमें इसके पश्चात् उक्त स्कीम कहा गया है ) , खण्ड 15 में , उपखण्ड ( 1 ) में "पांच " शब्द के स्थान पर " छड़" सब्द रखा जाएगा ।
3. उक्त स्कीम को द्वितीय अनुसूची में, --
(क) मद 2 में , " अमम ( जिसमें मेघालय सम्मिलित है ) , नागालैंड , पश्चिमी बंगाल , बिहार और उड़ीसा के राज्यों तथा मणिपुर, त्रिपुरा तथा अन्दमान और निकोबार द्वीपसमूह के संघ राज्यक्षेत्रों में" शब्दों और कोष्ठकों के स्थान पर, " पश्चिमी बंगाल , बिहार और उड़ीसा राज्यों तथा अन्दमान और निकोबार द्वीपसमूह के संघ राज्यक्षेत्रों मे " शब्द रखे जाएंगे ;

(ख) मदके प्रश्नान् निम्नलिखित मद अयन्नः स्थापित की जाएगी, अर्थात्ः--
" 2 क उत्तरपूर्वी क्षेत्र अमम, मणिपुर मेघालय, नागालैंड और त्रिपुरा राज्यों तथा अहमात्रन प्रदेश और मिजोराम के मथ राज्यक्षेत्रों से मिलकर बनेगा । "
( ग ) मद के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित मद रखी जाएगी, अर्थात्ः--
उत्तरी क्षेत्र जम्मू-कश्मीर, पंजाब, हरियाणा. हिमाचल प्रदेश और राजस्थान राज्यों तथा चण्डीगढ़ और दिल्ली के मंत्र राज्यक्षेत्रों से मिलकर बनेगा । "
