NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 6th October 1972
S.O. 648 ( E ) . The Central Government , having considered the application for renewal of recognition made under section 3 of the Securities Contracts ( Regulation ) Act , 1956 ( 42 of 1956 ) read with rule 7 of the Securities Contracts ( Regulation) Rules , 1957 , by the Calcutta Stock Exchange Association Ltd. , Calcutta ( hereinafter referred to as the Exchange) and being satisfied that it would be in the interest of the trade and also in the public interest so to do , hereby grants , in exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the said Act , recognition to the Exchange under section 4 of the said Act, for a further period of five years commencing on the 10th October , 1972 , and ending with the 9th October , 1977 , in respect of contracts in securities , subject to the conditions stated herein below and such other conditions as may be prescribed or imposed hereafter :
Conditions
( 1 ) The articles of association of the Exchange shall be suitably amended to give effect to the following , namely : -
(a) the President and Vice -President of the Exchange shall be nominated by the Central Government from among those elected as members of the

Committee of the Exchange through the normal process of the articles of association of the Exchange ;
(b) the power of the Committee to constitute sub -committees and standing committees shall be restricted to Arbitration Sub - committee and Defaulters' Sub -committee and that any other sub - committee standing commmittee may be constituted by the Committee only with the previous approval of the Central Government ; and ог ( c) the Executive Director shall have exclusive powers in matters which concern disciplining of trading and the members ' activities including enforcement of articles of association , bye - laws and regulations of the exchange in such matters .
(2) The articles of association of the Exchange shall be amended for the purposes aforesaid as early as possible but in no case later than a period of one year from the 10th October , 1972 .

का० प्रा ० 648 ( प्र ) केन्द्रीय सरकार , प्रतिभूति संविदा ( विनियमन ) नियमावली , 1957 के नियम 7 के साथ पठित प्रतिभूति संविदा ( विनियमन ) अधिनियम, 1956 ( 1956 का 42 वां ) की धारा 3 के अन्तर्गत कलकत्ता स्टाक एक्सचेंज एसोसिएशन लिमिटेड , कलकता ( जिसे बाद में एक्सचेंज कहा गया है ) द्वारा मान्यता के नवीकरण के लिए दिये गये आवेदन-पत्र पर विचार करने और इस बात की तसल्ली कर लेने के बाद कि ऐसा करना व्यापार तथा लोक हित में होगा , एतद्वारा उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 4 के अन्तर्गत प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 4 के अन्तर्गत एक्सचेंज को 10 अक्टूबर , 1972 से शुरू होने वाली और 9 अक्टूबर, 1977 को समाप्त होने वाली पांच वर्ष की अग्रेतर अवधि के लिए प्रतिभूतियों के संविदाश्रों के सम्बन्ध में नीचे दी गयी शर्तों और एतपश्चात् निर्धारित की जाने वाली अथवा लगायी जाने वाली शर्तों के साथ मान्यता प्रदान करती है :
शत
(1) एक्वचज को प्रतिमामावलीको मनुविन का में मंगोधिन किरा जायगा ताकि निम्नलिखित को कार्य- रूप दिया जा सके अर्थात्:--
(क) एक्सचेंज के अध्यक्ष और आध्यक्ष को केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा , एक्सचेंज की अन्त- नियमावली की मामान्य प्रक्रिरा द्वारा चुने गये एक्सचेंज की समिति के सदस्यों में से नामजद क्रिया जायगा ;
( ख) उप- समितियाँऔर अस्थायी समितियां गठित करने की एक्सचेंज की समिति की शक्ति मध्यस्थता समिति और बाकीदार समिति तक सीमित होगी और समिति द्वारा THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY

किसी अन्य उप- समिति श्रथवा स्थायी समिति का गठन केन्द्रीय सरकार के पूर्वान- मोदन से ही किया जायगा ; और
( ग ) कार्यकारी निदेशक को उन मामलों में, जिनका सम्बन्ध व्यापार को अनुशासित करने और सदस्यों की गतिविधियों से हो, जिनमें इन मामलों में एक्सचेंज की अन्त नियमावली उप-नियमों और विनियमों का लागू किया जाना शामिल है, अनन्य शक्तियां प्राप्त होंगी ।
( 2 ) उपर्युक्त प्रयोजनों के लिए एक्सचेंज की अन्तनियमावली में यथासम्भव शीघ्र संशोधन कर दिए जाएंगे जो हर हालत में 10 अक्टूबर 1972 से लेकर एक वर्ष तक की अवधि के अन्दर - अन्दर कर दिए जायेंगे ।
