NOTIFICATION
Hew Delhi, the 12th October 1972
G.S.R. 441(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of sec- tion 3 of the Destructive Insects and Pests Act, 1914 (2 of 1914), the Central Government hereby makes the following regulations to amend the Import of Cotton into India Regulations, 1972, namely:—
1. (i) These regulations may be called the Import of Cotton into India (Amend- ment) Regulations, 1972.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In paragraph 4 of the Import of Cotton into India Regulations, 1972, for the expression beginning with the words "Calcutta Docks" and ending with the words "Bhavnagar Docks", the following expression shall be substituted, namely:— "Calcutta Docks and Rs. 12.00 per square bale and Rs. 8.25 per round bale at Madras Docks, if fumigated in special quarantine chambers declared as such by the Madras Port Trust and Rs. 8.70 per square bale and Rs. 5.63 per round bale, if fumigated elsewhere in Madras Docks and Rs. 7.40 per square bale and Rs. 5.25 per round bale at Bhavnagar Docks."
