IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

New Delhi, the 25th October 1972

SUBJECT—Import of Fresh fruits all sorts excluding Coconuts, Cashewnuts and dates [S. N. 21(a) (i)/IV] from Afghanistan during 1st August, 1971 to 31st October, 1971, by approval Importers and exporters of non-traditional items to Afghanistan Extension of the last date for fulfilment of counter- import obligation against advance exports.

No. 152-ITC(PN)/72—Attention is invited to paragraph 28 of the Ministry of Foreign Trade Notice No. 93-ITC(PN) /72, dated 30th June, 1972, which inter alia provided that in respect of advance exports to Afghanistan effected upto 29th February, 1972, the last date for fulfilment of counter-import obligation will be 31st July, 1972.

2. On a review of the position. It has been, decided to extend the last date for fulfilment of counter-import obligation upto 30th. November, 1972, for the limited purpose of counter-balancing the advance exports that have already been effected to Afghanistan upto 29th February, 1972. It may be clarified that counter- imports shall consist of fresh fruits only. M. M.
