IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

New Delhi, the 9th November 1972

SUBJECT.—Trade with Bangladesh during the period from 28th March, 1972 to 27th March, 1973.

No. 158-ITC(PN)/72.—Attention is invited to the Ministry of Foreign Trade Public Notice No. 57-ITC(PN)/72, dated the 20th April, 1972, on the above subject. 2, According to the provisions made in paragraphs 5 and 13 of the aforesaid Public Notice, all applications for imports from Bangladesh and for exports to Bangladesh under the Limited Payments Arrangements have to be made to the Joint Chief Controll.er of Imports & Exports, Calcutta. In partial modification of these provisions, it has been decided that the applicants situated within the jurisdiction of the Controller of Imports & Exports, Shillong may, if they so desire, apply to that licensing authority for import licences or export licences or for endorsements on shipping bills for exports in the case of imports and exports covered by the Limited Payments Arrangement with Bangladesh. The Controller of Imports & Exports, Shillong will deal with such applications after obtaining from the Joint Chief Controller of Imports & Exports Calcutta the particulars of the registered contracts on the basis of which the Import or the export applications are made. 3.
