IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

New Delhi, the 13th November, 1972

SUBJECT.—Import Policy for Registered Exporters for April 1972—March 1973 (Amendment No. 29).

No. 159-ITC(PN)/72.—Attention is invited to Import Policy for Registered Exporters contained in the Import Trade Control Policy Book (Vol. II) for the year April 1972--March 1973 issued under the Ministry of Foreign Trade Public Notice No. 47-ITC(PN)/72 dated the 3rd April, 1972.

2. In terms of paragraph 44 of Part B of Section I of the aforesaid policy Bookthere is a provision regarding supply of raw materials at international price by indigenous producers for export production. As adequate quantity of Sodium Hydrosulphite is available indigenously, it has been decided that this item may be included in the scheme of supply by indigenous manufacturers at international place in t e r ms of the provision referred to above. In view of this, no direct import of this item will be allowed and wherever this item appears in Col. 4 in Section II of the aforesaid policy book against various export products, the same will be allowed by issue of a release order, as per the entitlement, on the indigen- ous manufacturers.
