G.S.R. 467 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All-India Services Act, 1951 (81 of 1951), read with sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, the Central Government, in consultation with the Government of Mysore and the Union Public Service Commission, hereby makes the following regulations fur- ther to amend the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955, namely: —
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Third Amendment Regulations, 1972.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Schedule to the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955, for the entry "3. Chairman, Mysore Revenue Appellate Tribunal" in column. 3 against serial number 11 relating to the State of Mysore, the entry "3. Revenue Commissioner and Secretary to Government" shall be substituted.
