S.O. 743(E).--Jn exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Clause (b) of Clause 2 of the Newsprint Control Order. 1962, No. CH(l)-18(l)/62 dated the 17th January, 1962, the Government of India is hereby pleased to appoint Shri M. V. Subraha- manyam, Deputy Press Regiatrar. Office of the Registrar of News papers for India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, New Delhi, to exercise the powers of the Controller under that order, with immediate effect.

2. The earlier Notification No. S.O. 3530, dated the 2lsl October, 1970 relating to the appointment of Shri A. Datta Majumdar, Deputy Press Registrar for exercising the powers of Controller under the said Newsprint Order, 1962, Is hereby cancelled. [No. 11/46/72-I&EC] A. S. GILL, Jt. Secy.
