New Delhi, the 14th December 1972
G.S.R. 487 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (2) of rule 3 of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1957, the Chairman, after consultation with the Ministry of Finance, hereby makes the following further amendments to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1957, namely:—
In the First Schedule to the said Rules—
Under the heading "Class II—Gazetted", after the entries relating to item "17. P,A. to Chairman", the following entries shall be inserted, namely: —
"17A. First Personal Assistant ... 1" to Deputy Chairman.
2. Under the heading "Class II—Non-Gazetted", the entries relating to item "25. P.A. to Deputy Chairman", shall be deleted.

In the Second Schedule to the said rules—
Under the heading "Class II—Gazetted", after the entries relating to item "18. Personal Assistant to the Chairman", the following entries shall be inserted, namely:—
"18A. First P.A. to Deputy Chairman—350—25—500—30—590—EB—30—
800—EB—30—830—35— 000."
2. Under the heading "Class II—Non-gazetted", the entries relating to item "30. Personal Assistant to Deputy Chairman" shall be deleted.
The amendments take effect from 1st September, 1969.
