IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

SUBJECT,—Trade with Bangladesh ' during the period from 28th March, 1972 to 21th March, 1973.

No. 3-ITC(PN)/73.—Attention is invited to (he Ministry of Foreign Trade Public Notice No. l80-ITC(PN)/72, dated the 8th December, 1972, regarding trade with Bangladesh outside the Limited Payments Arrangement, as amended by the Ministry ox Foreign Trade Public Notice No 190-ITC(PN)/72. dated the 22nd December, 1972.

2. It has been provided in paragraph 2 of the aforesaid Public Notice dated the 8th December, 1972 that exports of textiles (Mill-made and Power-loom) from India to Bangladesh outside the Limited Payments Arrangement will be allowed, subject to the normal police and procedures, only through the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council. Or a review of the position, it has been decided that the exports of textiles (art silk rubrics, cellulosic and non-cellulosic) So Bangladesh outside the Limited Heyments Arrangement will be allowed only through the Silk and Art Silk Export Promotion Council, and not through the Cotton Textiles Export Premotion Council 3. The Ministry of Foreign Trade Parties Notice No. 180-ITC(PN)/72, dated the 8th December, 1972 may be deemed to have been amended accordingly, M. M. SEN, Chief Controller of Imports & Exports
