S.O. 91 ( E ) . Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the Council of States due to the resignation of Shrimati Nandini Satpathy , a member elected to the Council of States from Orissa , before the expiration of her term of office;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 1 ) of Section 147 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Orissa to elect , in accordance with the provisions of the sald Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder , a person to fill the vacancy so caused before the 2nd March , 1973 (Friday) .

एस ० श्रो० 91 ( श्र): -यतः उड़ीसा राज्य से राज्य सभा के लिये निर्वाचित श्रीमती नंदनी सतपथी द्वारा अपनी पदावधि के अवसान से पूर्व त्यागपत्त्र दे दिए जाने से राज्य सभा में एक स्थान रिक्त हो गया है ;

अतः , अब लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 147 की उपधारा ( 1 ) के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग उड़ीसा राज्य की विधान सभा के निर्वाचित सदस्यों से एतद्वारा अपेक्षा करता है कि वे ऐसे हुई रिक्ति को भरने के लिए 2 मार्च 1973 ( शुक्रवार ) से पूर्व , उक्त अधिनियम के और तदधीन बनाए गए नियमों और श्रादेशों के उपबन्धों के अनुसार एक व्यक्ति निर्वाचित कर दें ।

S.O. 92 ( E ) . In pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 1 ) of section 39 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its Notification No. 100/CS- OR / 8 / 72 ( 1 ) , dated the 12th February , 1973 :-
( a) the 19th February , 1973 ( Monday ) , as the last date for making nomina- tions ;
(b) the 20th February , 1973 ( Tuesday ) , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
( c) the 22nd February , 1973 ( Thursday ) , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 1st March , 1973 ( Thursday ) , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken ; and
( e) the 2nd March , 1973 ( Friday ) , as the date before which the election shall be completed .

19 फरवरी , 1973 (सोमवार) ( क) नामनिर्देशन करने के लिए अन्तिम तारीख
(ख ) नामनिर्देशनों की संत्रीक्षा की तारीख
20 फरवरी , 1973 ( मंगलवार)
( ग) अभ्यर्थिताएं वापस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख 22 फरवरी , ' 1973 ( बृहस्पतिवार )
1 मार्च 1973 ( बृहस्पतिवार ) तथा (घ) वह तारीख जिसको यदि आवश्यक हो, तो मतदान होगा
2 मार्च, 1973 ( शुक्रवार ) (ङ ) वह तारीब जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन समाप्त कर दिया जाएगा ।
एतदद्वारा नियत करता है ।

In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. as the hours during which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its Notification No. 100/CS - OR/ 8/72(1) , dated the 12th February , 1973 .

एस ० ओ० 93 ( अ) तोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 56 के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन श्रायोग अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 100/ रा ० स०/ उड़ीसा/ 8/ 72 ( 1 ) , तारीख 12 फरवरी, 1973 के अनुसरण में राज्य सभा के लिए होने वाले निर्वाचन के लिए 10-00 बजे पूर्वा- हन से 2-00 बजे अपरान्ह तक का समय उस समय के रूप में एतद्वारा नियत करता है जिसके दौरान यदि आवश्यक रहे , तो , मतदान होगा ।

In pursunancersunance of the provisions of section 21 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission , in consultation with the Govern- ment of Orissa , hereby designates the Secretary of the Orissa Legislative Assembly , as the Returning Officer for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its Notification No. 100 / CS -OR/ 8 / 72 ( 1 ) , dated the 12th February , 1973 .

एस ० प्रो० 94 ( प्र) -नोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 21 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए निर्वाचन आयोग , उड़ीसा सरकार के परामर्श से , अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 100 / रा ० स ० - उड़ीसा / 8 / 72 ( 1 ) , तारीख 12 फरवरी , 1973 के अनुसरण में राज्य सभा के लिए होने वाले निर्वाचन के लिए सचिव , उड़िसा विधान सभा को रिटर्निग आफिसर के रुप में एतदद्वारा पदाभिहित करता है ।

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1 ) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints the Assistant Secretary of the Orissa Legislative Assembly to assist the Returning Officer for the election to the Council of States to be lbe held in pursuance of its Notification No. 100 / CS - OR/ 8 / 72 ( 1 ) , dated the 12th February , 1973 , in the performance of his functions .
