NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 12th February 1973

S.O. 97(E).—In pursuance of clauses 12B and 12E of the Colliery Control Order. 1945 as continued in force by section 16 of the Essential 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Steel, Mines and Metals (Department of Mines and Metals) No- S-O. 2464, dated the 24th July, 1967, namely—

In the said notification,—

(i) for the words "blendable coals", the words "blend able coals, middlings and sinks" shall be sub sutured;

(ii) the following Explanation shall be added at the end, namely:—

"Explanation.—In this notification,—

(a) "middlings' means the mediate or end products having an ash, content not exceeding 35 per cent beamed from a coal washery;
