NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , & February 1973-
S.O. 99 (E ) . In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Consti- rution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Railway Servants (Dis- cipline and Appeal ) Rules , 1968 , namely : ---
1. ( 1 ) These rules may he called the Railway Servants ( Discipline and Appeal ) Amendment Rules , 1973 .
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette .
2. In the Railway Servants ( Discipline and Appeal ) Rules , 1968 ( hereinafter referred to as the said rules ) , sub - rule ( 2 ) and Explanation (2 ) of rule 6 shall be omitted and sub - rule ( 1 ) of that rule shall be re - numbered as rule 6 and in rule 6 as so re - numbered , after item (iii ), the following new item shall be inserted , namely :--
" ( iii - a ) with - holding of the privilege of Passes or Privilege Ticket Orders or both ; "
3. In the said rules , for the words , brackets and figures " of sub - rule ( 1 ) and clauses ( i) and (ii) of sub - rule (2) of rule 6 " or " of sub - rule ( 1 ) of rule 6 " , wherever occurring , the words and figure " of rule 6 " shall be substituted .
4. For Schedules I , II and III to the said rules , the following Schedules shall be substituted namely:-
