New Delhi, the 23rd February 1973
G.8.R. 89(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (l) of section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951) and in pursuance of rule 7 of the Indian Forest Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1966, the Central Government, after consultation with the Governments of the States concerned and the Union Public Service Commission, hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Indian Forest Service (Appointment by Competitive Examination) Regulations, 1967, namely: —
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Indian Forest Service (Appoint- ment by Competitive Examinations)—Amendment Regulations, 1973,
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Indian Forest Service (Appointment by Competitive Examination) Regulations. 1967 in condition (2) of regulation 4, for the figures "24" the figures "26" shall be substituted.

In the Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No. 12011/52/72-F.III(Iii). dated the 5th January, 1973 published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, Part II— Section 3—Sub-section (i) under Issue No. 4, dated the 8th January, 1973 for "G.S.R. 4(E) to 8(E)" read "G.S.R. 6(E)".
