New Delhi , the 12th March 1973
5.0 . 132(E) , Whereas the President hus by notification published in the Gazette of India, on the 12th March , 1973 , called upon the elected members of the legislative Assem- bly of Kerala State to elect three members to the Council of States;
Now , therefore . in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 39 of the Representation of the People Act . 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints with respect to the said election,
(a) the 19th March , 1973 , ( Monday ) , as the last date for making nominations ;
(b) the 20th March , 1973 , (Tuesday ) , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations;
(c) the 22nd March , 1973 , ( Thursday) , as the last date for the withdrawal of candi- datures;
(d) the 29th March , 1973 , ( Thursday ) , as the late on which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken; and
( e ) the 3rd April , 1973 , ( Tuesday) , as the date before which the election shall he completed.

एस ० बी० 132 ( प) -यनः, भारत के राजपत्र में तारीख 12 मार्च . 1973 को प्रफाणिन अधिसूचना द्वारा राष्ट्रपति ने केरल राज्य की विधान सभा के निर्वाचित सदस्यों से राज्य मन् लिए तीन सदस्य निर्वाचित करने की अपेक्षा की है;

श्रत. , अव, लोक प्रतिनिधि अधिनियम, 1951 की धारा 39 की उपधारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , निर्वाचन आयोग उक्त निर्वाचन के बारे में:--
(क) नामनिर्देशन करने के लिए अन्तिम तारीख 19 मार्च, 1973 ( सोमबार );
(ख) नामनिर्देशनों की सवीला की तारीख
20 मार्च, 1973 ( मंगलवार ) ;
( ग ) अभ्यथिताएं वापस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख 22मार्च , 1973 (बृहस्पतिवार ) ;
(घ) वह तारीख जिसको यदि आवश्यक हो तो मतदान होगा
29मार्च, 1973 ( बृहस्पतिवार ) ; तथा
( ङ) वह तारीख जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन समाप्त कर दिया जायेगा
3 अप्रैल , 1973 ( मंगलवार);
एतद्वारा नियत करता है ।

S.O. 133 (E) . In exercise of powers conferred by section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. as the hours during which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken for the biennial election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of the President's notification published in the Gazette of India on 12th March , 1973 .

एस ० श्रो ० 133 ( म) लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1951 की धारा 56 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , निर्वाचन आयोग भारत के राजपत्र में तारीख 12 मार्च , 1973 को प्रकाशित राष्ट्रपति की अधिसूचना के अनुसरण में , राज्य सभा के लिए होने वाले मिर्वाचन के लिए 9 बजे पूर्वाह्न से 12 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय उस समय के रूप में एतद्वारा नियत करता है, जिसके दौरान यदि आवश्यक हो , तो मतदान होगा ।

S.O. 134 (E ) . In pursuance of the provisions of section 21 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission , in consultation with the Government of Kerala State, hereby designates Dr. R. Prasannan , Secretary , Kerala Legislative Assembly , Trivandrum , as the Returning Officer for the biennial election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of the President's notification published in the Gazette of India on the 12th March , 1973 .

एस ० प्रो० 134 ( श्र ) लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 21 के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में, निर्वाचन आयोग केरल राज्य सरकार के परामर्श से , भारत के राजपत्त्र में तारीख 12 मार्च, 1973 को प्रकाशित राष्ट्रपति की अधिसूचना के अनुसरण में, राज्य सभा के लिए होने वाले द्विधाषिषः निर्वाचन के लिए डा ० आर ० प्रसन्नन , सचिव , केरल विधान सभा , त्रिवेन्द्रम को रिटर्निंग आफिसर के रूप में एतद्वारा पदाभिहित करता है ।

S.O. 135 ( E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints Shri S. Chudalamuthu Pillai , Joint Secretary , Kerala Legislative Assembly , Trivandrum , to assist the Returning Officer in the performance of his functions for the biennial election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of the President's notification published in the Gazette of India on the 12th March , 1973 .
