No. DRAWBACK/PN-13/73.—Under rule 3 of the Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1071 (Notification No. 52/F. No. 602/2/70—DBK, published in the Gazette of India—Extraordinary, dated the 25th August, 1971), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Table published in the Public Notice No. DRAWBACK/PN-I dated the 15th October, 1971:—

After sub-serial No. 3827 and the entries relating thereto the following sub-serial number and the entries shall be inserted, with effect from 1-12-1972, namely : —

No. DRAWBACK/PN-14/73.—Under rule 3 of the Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1371 (Notification No. 52/F. No. (102/2/70-DBK published in the Gazette of India—Extraordinary—dated the 25th August, 1371)) the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Table published in the Public Notice No. DRAWBACK/PN-i dated the 15th October, 1971:—

After sub-serial No. 5006 and the entries relating thereto, the following sub-serial No. and the entries shall be inserted, namely :—

5007 Sports Light Roadster Bicycles:— (a) fitted with imported 3 speed hubs. Rs. 14/- (Rupees fourteen only) per bicycle

plus the amount of import duty paid on the imported 3 speed hubs as determined with reference to the rel event Bill(s) of Entry on a 'First in First out' basis.

Provided that manufacturer, exporter produces evidence to the satisfaction of the Collector of Customs regarding import and duty incidence in respect of an adequate number of 3 speed hubs to eovti the export of S.L.R. Bicycles fitted with 3 speed hubs and provided further that the imported 3 speed hubs in respect of which such evidence is produced, have not been:—.

(i) similarly co-related to and accounted for against any other previous exportation; and

(ii) previously re-exported as such or in any other form, whether undei claim for draw- back or otherwise.

NOTF. :—The above rate inclusive of drawback on packing materials which should include the following, namely :—

(1) Individual carton for each bicycle made of corrugated board, and kraft liner.

(2) Packing staples.

(3) Wire nails.

(4) Box strapping.

(5) Brown paper.

It is to be noted that if the above packing materials are not used the above drawback rate should not be applied,

(b) Other than those fitted with 3 speed Ra, 12- 50 (Rupees twelve and paise fifty hubs, whether exported in assembled or only¹) per bicycle ''exclusive of drawback on SKD 01 CKD condition. packing material which may be claimed separately under appropriaue 'all industry' rates of drawback).

All the brand rates fixed for individual manufacturer/exporter in respect of the above goods will stand withdrawn with the coming into effect of this Public Notice.
