New Delhi , the 4th May 1973
S.O. 267 ( E ) .-Whereas the Government of the State of Tamil Nadu have Intimated certain alterations in the boundaries of the territorial divisions com- prised within 105 - Coimbatore West and 106 - Coimbatore East assembly consti- tuencies mentioned in Part B in Schedule IX to the Delimitation Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order , 1966 and specified below;
And whereas the Election Commission considers it necessary to make am- endments in description of the said constituencies so as to bring the Order up- to-date;
Now , therefore , in exercise of the power conferred by clause ( b ) of sub- section ( 1 ) of section 9 of the Representation of the People Act , 1950 , the Elec tion Commission hereby makes the amendment in the said Order as follows: - In Part B- ASSEMBLY CONSTITUENCIES--
( 1 ) in 105 - Coimbatore West , in the description of the extent of constitu- ency , for the existing entry substitute the entry- "Ward Nos . 17 to 34 Nos . 17 to 34 of Coimbatore municipality . " ; and
( 2 ) in 106 - Coimbatore East , in the description of the extent of constitu- ency, for the existing entry substitute the entry- "Coimbatore municipality ( excluding Ward Nos , 17 to 34 ) . "
