MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 28th June 1973S.O. 358(E).—In pursuance of clause (1) of article 23!) of the Constitution, and in supersession of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Home Affairs No. S.R.O. 4095, dated the 17lh December, 1957 and S.O. 3113, dated the 19th August, 1972, the President hereby directs that the Administrators of the Union territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh. Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Delhi, Goa, Daman and Diu, Laccadive, Minlcoy and Amindivi Islands, Mizoram and Pondicherry (whether known as Lieutenant Governor, Chief Commissioner or Administrator) shall, subject to the control of the President and until further orders, also exercise the powers and discharge the functions of the Central Government under the Explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (26 of 1881) within their res- pective Union territories.
