G.S.R 331 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of of the Coniral Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (I of 1944) and In supersession notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Depart- nt of Revenue, and Insurance) No, 128/73-Centra] Excises, dated the 1st June, '3,' the Central Government hereby fixes a tariff value of two hundred and entry rupees per quintal for sugar falling under sub-item (1) of Item No. 1 tie First Schedule to the said Act and chargeable with duty ad valorem.
frovioad that nothing contained in this notification shall apply to sugar re- lied by the Central Government to be sold under clause (i) of sub-aection (2) section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955).
