NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 21st June 1973

S.O. 367(E).—In pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Delimitation Act, 1972 (76 of 1972), an Order made by the Delimitation Commission under section 8 of the said Act in respect of the State of Manipur is hereby published :

ORDER NO. 3

In pursuance of section 8 of the Delimitation Act 1972 (76 of 1972), we hereby determine, on the basis of the latest census figures, having regard to the provisions of articles 81, 170, 330 and 332 of the Constitution, and taking into consideration the provisions con- tained in the Constitution (Thirty-first) Amendment Bill, 1973, as passed by Parliament, the number of seats in the House of the People to be allocated to the State of Manipur as two of which one seat shall be reserved for the Scheduled Tribes and the total number (1123) 1124 F HE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—Sre. 3(ii)]

of seats to he assigned to the Legislative Assembly of the State as sixty of which one scat shall be reserved for .the Scheduled Castes and nineteen seats for the Scheduled Tribes.
