CENTRAL EXCISES New Delhi, the 24th July 1973
G.S.R. 350(E).-—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby directs that the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department, of Revenue and Insurance) specified In column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table,

G.S.B, 360(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred :by sub-section (1) of sec- tion 25 of the Customs Act. 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satibfled that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 23-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1973, namely:—
In the said notification, for the figures and worda "30 per cent, ad valorem" the figures and words "15 per cent ad valorem" shall be substituted.

(a) 30 per cent, od valorem, where the standard rate of duty is leviable; and (b) 20 per cent, ad valorem, where the preferential rate of duty is leviable,

G.S.R. 362(£).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of sec- tion 25 of the Finance Act, 1973 (21 of 1973), the Central Government, being isatisfled that it is necessary in the public interest so to do hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 83-Customs, dated the 11th May, 1973, namely:—
