G.S.R. 366(E);.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub--section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act 1962 (52 of 1962) the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts Bod ana variety of pomegranates,when imported into India, from the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon under the First Schedule to the Indian Tariff Acl, 1934. (32 of 1934).

1120 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC 3(i)]G.S.R. 367(8).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (T) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 90/F. No. 355/58/71-CU8. I, dated the 21st October, 1971, namely:—
In the said notification, for the word "pomegranates" the words "pomegranates, other than the Bcdana variety," shall be substituted.
