G.S.R. 386(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment, in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 18P/72-Central Excises, dated 9th August, 1972, namely: —

In notification Nos. 80-Customs, 81-Customs, 82-Customs, 83-Custom8 and 84- Customs dated the 11th May 1973 of Ministry of Finance (Department of Hevenue and Insurance) published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary), Part II—Section 3, SubSection (i) dated the 11th May 1973 as G.S.R. Nos. 255(E), 256(E), 257 (E), 258(E) and 299 (E) the following correction are to be made: —
G.S.R. No. 265(JE).—(i) In line 3 of col. 3 of the Table against S.N. 1 for "provision" read, "provisions";
(ii) In line 4 of col. 3 of the Table against S.No. 3 for "962" read "1962". G.S.R. No. 256(E).—(i) In line 8, (a) for "72A 1" read "72A(i)"; (ii) insert a coma after "72(8)"; (iii) In line 9:
(a) delete the coma between 72(14) and (a) (i); (b) delete the coma between 72(14) and (a) (Hi);
(iv) In line 10:
delete the coma between 72(40) and (a);
(v) In line 11:
(a) Insert a coma between 75(18) (a) and 75(18) (b) (i); (b) for "36(2), 36(3) and 36(4)" read "89(2), 86(3) and 86(4)" res- pectively.
