NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the nth August 1973

No. B-12017/19/73-H(ii).—Whereas some persons employed in the Nursing pro- fession in the hospitals in Delhi and New Delhi have gone on strike, disrupting the smooth running of the hospitals and the care of. patients;

And whereas the Central Government is of opinion that nursing services In the Hospitals are essential to the life for the community, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-rule (1) of Rule 119 of the Defence of India Rules, 1971, hereby declares Nursing personnel employed in the Hospitals in the Union territory of Delhi, to be a class of employment to which the said Rules apply.
