NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 5th September, 1973
G.S.R. 432(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 20 of the Pro- duce Cess Act 1966 (15 of 1966), the Central Government hereby makes the follow- ing rules to amend the Produce Cess Rules, 1989, namely;—•
1. Short Title.—These Rules may be called the Produce Cess (Amendment) Rules, 1973.
2. In the Produce Cess Rules, 1969, in Form C, against item 8, for the words and brackets "Quantity of the oilseed crushed oil extracted and oilcake produced during the month (In quintals rounded oil-less than one quintal is to be ignored)", the following words shall be substituted, namely:'—
1356 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PAST U—SEC. 3(i)]G.S.E. 433 (E),—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 15 of the Produce Cess Act, 1966 (15 of 196fi), read with sub-rule (I) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby exempts with immediate effect payment of cess on oils extracted from oilseeds crushed, in any mill if the quantity of oil so extracted is less than one quintal, during a calendar month.
