New Delhi, the 15th September 1973
S.O. 518 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 Of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (Amendment) Act, 1968 (58 of 1968), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of October, 1973, as the day on Which section 7 of the said Act shall come into force in the State of Jammu and Kasmir.
