PUBLIC NOTICE

IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

New Delhi, the 11th October 1973

SUBJECT—Trade with Bangladesh during the period from the 28th September, 1973 to 27th September, 1974.

No. 170-ITC(PN) /73.—Attention is invited to the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No 116-ITC(PN)/73, dated the 16th July 1973, on the above subject.

2. According to the provisions made in paragraphs 6 and 14 of the aforesaid Public Notice, all applications for imports from Bangladesh and for exports to Bangladesh under the Balanced Trade and Payments Arrangement have to be made to the Joint Chief Controller of Imports & Exports, Calcutta. In partial modifica- tion of these provisions, it has been decided that the applicants situated within the jurisdiction of the Controller of Imports & Exports, Shillong, may, if they so desire, apply to that licensing authority for import licences or export licences or for endorsements on shipping bills for exp6rts in the case of imports and exports covered by the Limited Payments Arrangement with Bangladesh. The Controller of Imports & Exports, Shillong, will deal with such applications after obtaining from the Joint Chief Controlelr or Imports & Exports, Calcutta the particulars of the registered contracts on the basis of which the import or the export applications are made. 3.
