PUBLIC NOTICE

IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

New Delhi, the 26th October 1973

SUBJECT.—Import of raw materials and components by units engaged in priority industries during April 1972—March 1973.

No. 174-lTC(PN)/73.—Attention is invited to para 3 of late Ministry of Foreign Trade Public Notice No. 138-ITC(PN)/72 dated the 22nd September, 1972 according to which Import licences issued on the basis of consumption during a period of 12 months will be subject to the condition that the licensee shall not be permitted to make remittance against these licences for a value exceeding 50 per cent of the value of the licence during the first six months of the validity period of the licence.

2. On a review of the position, it has been decided that this condition regard- ing remittance will not be applicable in the case of licences issued under IDA Credit and Rupee Payment Area. The conditions mentioned in para 3 of the aforesaid 'Public Notice will, however, continue to be applicable to licences issued against sources other than IDA Credit and Rupee Payment Area, S. G.
