New Delhi , the 7th November 1973
S.O. 673 (E ) .- Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People by reason of the death of Shri Chandulal Chunilal Desai , a member elected to that House from 14 - Sabarkantha Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Gujarat;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 1 ) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect before the 14th December , 1973 , in accordance with the provisſons of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder , a person to fill the said vacancy .

का० ग्रा० 673 ( घ) . यतः गुजरात राज्य में के 14 - साबरकांठा संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से लोक सभा के लिए निर्वाचित सदस्य श्री चन्दूलाल देसाई की मृत्यु हो जाने से लोक सभा में एक स्थान रिक्स हो गया है ;

श्रतः , अब , लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 149 की उपधारा ( 1 ) के उनबंधों के अनुम रण में निर्वाचन आयोग उक्त निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से एतद्वारा अपेक्षा करता है कि वे ऐसे हुई रिक्ति को भरने के लिए 14 दिसम्बर , 1973 मे पूर्व , उक्त अधिनियम के और सद्धीन बनाए गए नियमों और आदेशों के उपबंधों के अनुसार एक व्यक्ति निर्वाचित कर दें ।

In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , (43 of 1951 ) , the Blection Commission hereby appoints , with respect to the bye -election to be held in 14- Sabarkantha parliamentary constituency in the State of Gujarat in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / GJ - HP/ 3 / 72 ( 1 ) , dated the 7th November , 1973 , (a) the 14th November , 1973 (Wednesday) as the last date for making nominations ;
(b) the 15th November , 1973 (Thursday ) as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) the 17th Novembder , 1973 (Saturday ) as the last date for the withdrawal of candi- datures;
(d) the 9th December , 1973 ( Sunday ) as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary, be taken; and
(c) the 14th December , 1973 (Friday) as the date before which the election shall be completed.

का० प्रा० 674 ( श्र ) . लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 30 के उपबंधों के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग अपनी अधिसूचना सं ०100 / गुज ० -लो० स ०/ 3/ 72 ( 1 ) , तारीख 7 नवम्बर , 1973 के अनुसरण में गुजरात राज्य में के 14 -साबरकांठा संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से होने वाले उप - निर्वाचन के बारे में--
14 नवम्बर, 1973 ( बुधवार ) , (क) नामनिदशन करने के लिए अन्तिम तारीख
15 नवम्बर , 1973 ( बृहस्पतिवार ) , (ख) नामनिर्देशनों की संबीक्षा की तारीख
17 नवम्बर , 1973 ( शनिवार ) , (ग) श्रभ्यथिता वापस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख
9 दिसम्बर , 1973 ( रविवार) ( घ ) वह तारीख जिसको यदि आवश्यक हो, तो मतदान होगा , तथा
14 दिसम्बर , 1973 ( शुक्रवार) (ङ) वह तारीख जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन समाप्त कर दिया जाएगा
एतद्वारा नियत करता है ।

In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. as the hours during shall which a poll shall , if necessary be taken for the bye - election to the House of the People from 14 - Sabarkantha parliamentary ) constituency to be held in pursuance of its notifi- cation No. 1001 GJ - HP / 3 / 72 ( 1 ) , dated the 7th November , 1973 .

का० अ ० 675 ( श्र ) चोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 56 के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग , अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 100/गुज०- लो ० स ०/ 3/ 72 ( 1 ) , नारीख 7 नवम्बर, 1973 के अनुसरण में 14 - साबरकांठा संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से लोक सभा के लिए होने वाले निर्वाचन के निए 8-00 वजे पूर्वाह्न से 5-00 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय उस समय के रूप में एनद्वारा निवत करना है जिम के दौरान यदि आवश्यक हो तो , मतदान होगा ।
