NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 14th November 1973
S.O. 695(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 412 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958), read with sub-rule (2) of rule 7 of the Control of Shipping (Rates) Rules, 1949, continued in force by clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 461 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby fixes, with effect from the 14th day of November, 1973, the passenger fares for all classes of accommodation at thirty per cent above the fares fixed by the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Transport and Shipping, Transport Wing, No. S.O. 3743, dated the 10th September, 1969, so, however, that in converting the fares specified in the said notification into the increased fares, such increased fares will be rounded off to the next higher 10 paise.
