NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi, the 24th November 1973
S. 0.725 (E).—In pursuance of the provisions of section 21 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), and in supersession of its notification No. 434/POND/70, dated the 5th January, 1971, the Election Commission hereby designates, in consultation with the Government of Pondicherry, the Collector-Cum-District Magistrate (Independent), Pondicherry, to be the Re- turning Officer for the Parliamentary Constituency in the Union Territory of Pondicherry.

No. 726(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(i) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), and in supersession of its notification No' 434/POND/7O, dated the 5th January, 1971, tbe Election Commission hereby appoints the fo' Uowing officers to assist the Returning Officer for the Parliamentary Constituency in the Union Territory of Pondicherry in the performance of his functions:—
1. Tho Deputy Collector, Pondicherry. 2. The Under Secretary (Revenue), Pondicherry. 3. The Project Officer, Marginal Farmers Agricultural Labourers Development Agencies, Pondicherry.
4. The Deputy Collector (Revenue) & Administrator, Karaikal. 5. The Sub-Collector & Administrator, Mahe. 6. The Deputy Collector (Revenue) & Administrator, Yanam.
