IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

New Delhi, the 11th December 1973

SUBJECT,—Import of 'Dry fruits' [S. No. 21 (a) (ii)/IV] from IRAN during January—March. 1973 licensing period—Extension in the validity period.

No. 214-ITC(PN)/73.—Attention of importers is invited to paragraph 9 of the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 42-ITC(PN)/73, dated the 6th March 1973, in terms of which, licences issued for import of 'Dry fruits' from Iran for the period January—March 1973 were valid for a period of six months from the date of issue.

2. On a review of the position, it has been decided that the validity period of unutilized/partially utilized licences, Issued for import of 'Dry fruits' from Iran in terms of the aforesaid Public Notice, may be deemed to have been extended upto 31st December, 1973. No endorsement to this effect is necessary to be made on the licences by the licensing authority concerned. The customs authorities will allow clearance within the extended date on the basis of this Public Notice, if the imports are otherwise in order. S. G.
