IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

SUBJECT.—Supply of imported steel for export production
No. 216-ITC(PN)/73.—Attention of all registered exporters is invited to the Ministry of Commerce, Public Notice No. 172-ITC(PN)/73, dated 18th October, 1973 on the subject mentioned above.
2. On a review, it has been decided that in respect of release orders, issued under Public Notice No. 56-ITC(PN)/72, dated the 18th April. 1972, and which are required to fulfil satisfactorily the conditions of Public Notices No. 86-ITC(PN)/73 dated 5th June, 1973 and No. 105-ITC(PN)/73, dated 23rd June, 1973. the renegotia- tion of contracts so as to obtain the minimum added value of 25 per cent, should be completed and the renegotiated contracts should be submitted to the Engineer- ing Export Promotion Council, Calcutta, by the 31st January, 1974 at the latest, failing which the release orders would be treated as cancelled and no supply of imported steel would be arranged by the Hindustan Steel Ltd.
