ORDER
New Delhi, the 14th December, 1973
G.S.R.522 (E)/ESS. Com./Sugar.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3C) section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act,1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order to amend the Sugar(Price Determination for 1973-74 Production) Order, 1973
1. Short title and commencement.— (1) This Order may he called the Sugar (Price Determination for 1973-74 Production) Amendment Order, 1973.
(2) It shall come into force from the 15th day of December, 1973,
2. In the Sugar (Price Determination for 1973-74 Production; Order, 1973 (herein-after referred to as the said Order), after clause 2, the following clause shall be inserted, namely :—
" 3. Notwithstanding any provision, in respect of price to be paid to a producer, contained in the Orders issued prior to this Order under sub-clause (1) of clause 2 of the Levy Sugar Supply (Con- trol) Order, 1972, requiring such producer to sell any sugar out of the production of the year 1973-74 (whether to Central Government or a State Government or to an Officer or agent of such Government or to any other person or class of persons), the prices nowd e t e r m i n edby this Order shall apply to all sugar delivered on or after the 15th December, 1973 against the said Orders unde ubcla-use (1) of clause 2 of the Levy Sugar Supply (Control) Order, 1972."
