NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 20th December 1973
G.S.R. 531 ( E ) . In exercise of the powers conferred by clause ( 3 ) of article 98 of the Constitution of India , the President , after consultation with the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha , hereby makes the following rules to amend the Rajya Sabha Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service ) Rules , 1957 , namely :-
1. Short title . These rules may be called the Rajya Sabha Secretariat (Recruit- ment and Conditions of Service ) Amendment Rules , 1973 .
2. Amendment of rule 2. In rule 2 of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat ( Recruit- ment and Conditions of Service ) Rules , 1957 , for clause ( j ) , the following clause shall be substituted , namely:-
" ( 1 ) " Secretary " means the Secretary of the Rajya Sabha , and , as from the 15th day of November, 1973 , means the Secretary -General of the Rajya Sabha" .
