SUBJECT.—Import of 'DATES' [S. No.21(b)/IV] from Iraq during 1973-74 Licensing period on annual basis.
No. 222/ITC(PN) /73.—Attention is invited to Paragraph 5 of the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 204-ITC(PNV73, dated the 29th November, 1973, in terms of which Cooperative Societies of pre-independence freedom fighters were required to produce a certificate from the Home Department of the State concerned, that all the members of the Society are bona fide freedom fighters of pre-indepen- dence era.
2. On a review of the position, it has been decided that the Presidents of the Cooperative Societies of pre-independence freedom fighters should submit affidavits to the effect that all the members of the society are bona fide freedom fighters of pre-independence era, in lieu of the aforesaid prescribed certificate from the Home Department of the State concerned.
