New Delhi, the 5th June 1974S.R.O. 16-E.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of sec- tion 2 of the Armed Forces (Emergency Duties) Act, 1947 (15 of 1947) and in continuation of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Defence, No. S.R.O. 10-E dated the 5th April, 1974 and No. S.R.O. 12-E dated the 3rd May, 1974 the Central Government hereby declares every service form- ing part of, or connected with, the maintenance of and running of trains on the railways in all States and Union territories of the Union of India to, be a service of vital importance to the community for a further period of one month with effect from the 5th day of June, 1974.
