ORDER
New Delhi, the 10th June, 1974
G.S.R. 262(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order to amend the Foodgrains Movement Restrictions (Exemption of Seeds) Order, 1970, namely:—
1. (1> This Order may be called the Foodgrains Movement Restrictions (Exemp- tion of Seeds) Amendment Order, 1974.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. For clause 3 of the Foodgrains Movement (Restrictions (Exemption of Seeds) Order, 1970, the following clause shall be substituted, namely:—
"3. Exemption for certified seeds.—Nothing contained in any Order imposing restrictions on the movement of foodgrains (including seeds thereof) made by the Central Government or a State Government shall apply to the movement or transportation, by any person, of certified seeds:
Provided that such movement or transportation takes place only in sealed packs, containers or bags, each such pack, container or bag containing not more than fifty kilograms of certified seeds."
