NOTIFICATION
CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi, the 17th June, 1474,
G.S.R. 271 (E.).—In exercise of the powers conferred, by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Cen- tral Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amend- ments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 171/ac-Central Excises, dated the 21st November, 1970, namely :—
In the said notification, in the Table annexed thereto, in serial No. 14 relating to "Cotto" fabrics", for item (i) in column 4 and the corresponding entry relating thereto in column 5, the following shall be substituted, namely :—

Drawa as samples for overseas markets provided that— (a) only one sample is drawn from each sort or hale : (b) samples are for bona fide overseas made purposes (a) 50 cms in length by full width ; (b) a full length piece in respect of piece goods such as bedcovers, bed-sheets, and pillow covers.
