ORDERS
New Delhi, the 15th July 1974
G.S.R. 322(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section. 5 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby directs that the powers conferred on it by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Act to make orders to provide for the matter specified in clause (c) of sub-section (2) thereof shall, in relation to wheat, be exercisable also by—
(1) the Collectors of the districts in the State of Maharashtra, within their
respective jurisdiction, and
(2) the Controller of Rationing, Bombay, within the Bombay Rationing Area as specified in Schedule A to the Maharashtra Foodgrains Rationing (Second) Order, 1966, subject to such guidelines as the Government of Maharashtra may, with the previous approval of the Central Gov- ernment, lay down from time to time,
