NOTIFICATION

CENTRAL EXCISES

New; Delhi, the 1st August 1974

G.S.R. 345(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (3) of rule 224 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Central Government hereby recinds with immediate effect the noti- fication of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 118/74-Central Excises, dated the 22nd July, 1974.

2. The rescission of the said notification shall not affect its previous operation or any liability incurred thereunder, or any penalty, forfeiture or punishment incurred in respect of any offence relating thereto or any investigation, legal proceeding or remedy in respect of any such liability, penalty, forfeiture or punishment as, aforesaid and section 6 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (10 of 1897), shall apply to the rescission of the said notification, as if such rescission were a repeal of an enactment by a Central Act.
