S.O. 499(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of section 12 of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Act, 1952 (31 of 1952), the following declara- tion containing the name of the person elected to the office of President of India is published for general information:—
DECLARATION
"In pursuance of the provision contained in section 11 of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Act, 1952 (31 of 1952), read with rule 35 of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Rules, 1974, I, B. N. Banerjee, the Returning Officer for the Presidential Election, hereby declare that Shri Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, l, Willingdon Crescent, New Delhi, has been duly elected to the office of the President of India.
