NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi, the 13th September 1974
G.S.R. 390(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 8 of the Indian Iron and Steel Company (Taking Over of Management) Act, 1972 (50 of 1972), the Central Government hereby specifies the following exceptions, restrictions and limitations subject to which the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956) shall apply to the Indian Iron and Steel Company, namely;—
Section 175, in so far as it relates to the election of the Chairman for a general meeting of the shareholders of the Company, shall apply with the following modifications, namely:—
(i) in sub-section (1), for the words "the members personally present at the meeting shall elect one of themselves to be the Chairman thereof on a show of hands", the words "the Central Government shall, by notification in the Official Gazette, nominate a person to be the Chairman of the meeting" shall be substituted;

Bhaya, Chairman, Board of Management, Indian Iron and Steel Company Limited, as the Chairman of the annual general meeting of the Indian Iron and Steel Company Limited to be held on the 27th September, 1974.
