No. F.12 ( 7 ) -PD/ 71.- The President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Post Office ( Time Deposits ) Rules , 1970 , namely :-
I. (1 ) Tisert'es may be calle 1 the Post Ofice ( Time Deposits ) (Amendment) Rules , 1974 .
(2 ) They shall come into force on the 1st day of November , 1974 .
2. In the Table below rule 5 of the Post Office ( Time Deposits ) Rules , 1970 after item ( 3 ) "Provident Fund Account" and the entries relating thereto , the following items and entries shall be inserted , namely :-
One or more 011 behalf of the Fund .
(4) Superannuation Fund Account .
The authority con- trolling the Super- annuation Fund .
The authority con- trolling the Super- annuation Fund in the name of the Fund .
or more on behalf of the Fund . con- One
(5) Gratuity Fund Account .
The authority con- trolling the Gra- tuityFund.
The authority trolling the Gra- tuity Fund in the name of the Fund .
NOTE -An authority controlling a Superannuation Fund or Gratuity Fund may open an account only in a case where the pattern of investment is prescribed by the Central Government" .

सं ० एफ ० 12 ( 7 ) -पी० डो ० / 71.-- राष्ट्रपति ने डाकघर ( माधिक जमा) नियम, 1970 को और संशोधित कर के निम्नलिखित नियम बनाये है अर्थात्:---
1. ( 1 ) इन नियमों को डाकघर ( मावधिक जमा) ( संशोधन ) नियम , 1974 कहा
जाय ।
( 2) यह नियम 1 नवम्बर , 1974 से लागू होंगे ।
2. डाकघर ( सावधिक जमा ) नियम , 1970 के नियम 5 के नीचे दी गयी सारणी में मद ( 3 ) " भविष्य निधि खाता " और उम से सम्बद्ध इन्दराजों में निम्नलिखित मदें और इन्दराज जोड़े जायेगे अर्थात्: -
( 4) श्रधिवर्ष निधि निधि की ओर से निधि की ओर से एक अधिवर्ष निधि का
खाता
या अधिक
अधिवर्ष निधि का
नियंत्रण करने वाला अधिकारी नियंत्रण करने वाला
अधिकारी
निधि की ओर से
निर्वाध की ओर से
(5) उपदान निधि
खाता
एक या अधिक
उपदान निधि का नियंत्रण करने वाला अधिकारी
उपदान निधि का नियंत्रण करने वाला अधिकारी
टिप्पणी अधिवर्ष निधि अथवा उपदान निधि का नियंत्रण करने वाला अधिकारी कोई खाता तभी खोलेगा जब पूंजी लगाने का तरीका केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा निर्धारित कर दिया गया हो ।
No. F. 12 ( 7 ) -PD / 71.- The Post Office ( Time Deposits ) Rules , 1970 , as amended , permit investment by provident funds , superannuation funds and gratuity funds in Post Office Tirre Deposits only where their pattern of investment is prescribed by the Central Government .
It is hereby notified for general information that any provident fund / superannuation furd/ gratuity fund whichwhich regulates investment , in accordance with the following pattern,in , of its net ac- cretions during a year , that is to say contributions , interest and sundry receipts as reduced by any obligatory outgoings during that year , shall be eligible to invest Droneys in Post Office Time Deposits as prescribed therein .
Investment Pattern
Percentage of net annual ac- cretions to the Fund
Not less than 45 % (1) Central Government securities as defined in section 2 of the Public Debt Act , 1944 .
Not less than 5 % (2) State Government securities as defined in section 2 of the Public Debt Act , 1944 .

Percentage of net annual ac- cretions to the Fund
Not less than 20 % .
(3 ) Securities Guaranteed by the Central Government or a State Government .
(4) Small Savings securities including Post Office Time Deposits Balance (Not exceeding 30 % ) .
At the time of making aninvestment in Post Office Time Deposits the authority controlling the provident fund / superannuation fund / gratuity fund will furnish a certificate to the Post Office at which investment is made to the effect that investment pattern prescribed by Government has been followed .

सं ० एफ० 12 ( 7 ) -पी ० डी०/ 71.-यथा संशोधित डाकघर ( सावधिक जमा ) नियम, 1970 के अर्न्तगत भविष्य निधि, अधिवर्ष निधि और उपदान निधि में से डाघर सावधिक जमा खाते में तभी रकम जमा की जा सकती है जब रकम जमा करने का तरीका केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा निर्धारित कर दिया गया हो ।
इस अधिसूचना के द्वारा सर्वसाधारण को सूचित किया जाता है कि कोई भी जो भविष्य निधि, अधिवर्ष निधि, उपदान निधि से नीचे लिखे तरीके से पूजी लगाते हैं वे अब उक्त निधि से साल भर की निवल जमा अर्थात्, अंशदान , ब्याज और फुटकर प्राप्तियों में से अनिवार्यत निकासी करने के बाद शेष धनराशि को तदर्थ निर्धारित तरीके से डाकघर सावधिक जमा खाते में जमा करा सकते हैं ।
रकम जमा करने का तरीका
निधि में वार्षिक निवल जमा रकम का प्रतिशत
45 प्रतिशत से कम नहीं ( 1 ) पब्लिक डेट एक्ट, 1944 की धारा 2 में बताये गये अनुसार केन्द्रीय सरकार की सिक्यूरिटियां
5 प्रतिशत से कम नहीं ( 2 ) पब्लिक डेट एक्ट , 1944 की धारा 2 में बनाये गये अनुसार राज्य सरकार की सिक्यूरिटियां ।
20 प्रतिशत से कम नहीं ( 3 ) केन्द्रीय सरकार या राज्य सरकार द्वारा गारंटी की गयी सिक्यूरिटियां ।
शेष ( 30 प्रतिशत से अधिक ( 4 ) डाकघर सावधिक जमा खातों सहित छोटी बचत की सिक्यूरिटियां
नहीं)
डाकघर सावधिक जमा में रकम जमा कराते समय, भविष्य निधि/ श्रधिवर्ष निधि/उपदान निधि का नियंत्रण करने वाला अधिकारी , उस डाकघर को जिसमें रकम जमा करायी गयी है , इस आशय का एक प्रमाण पत्त्र देगा कि रकम लगाने के लिये सरकार द्वारा निर्दिष्ट किये गये तरीके का पालन कर लिया गया है ।
