CENTRAL EXCISES

G.S.R. 2(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the- Central Excise Rules, 1944, and in partial modification of the notification of Govern- ment of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 47/73-CE, dated the 1st March, 1973, the Central Government hereby exempts Nylon Staple Fibres, falling under Item No. 18, of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (I of 1944), from so much of the duty of excise leviable thereon as is in excess of Rs. 6 per kilogram.
