S.R-O. 3—K—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Cons- titution} the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Civilians in Defence Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1073, namely:—

T. (1) These rules may be called by Civilians, in Defence Services. (Revised Pay) Amend- ment Rules, 1975-

(2) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of January, 1973.

2. In the Civilians in Defence Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1973, in the First Schedule,

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM

The Civilians in Defence Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1973, which were notified to imple- ment the Government decisions on the recommendations of the Third Pay Commission in res- pect of the pay scales of Civilian employees in the Defence Services, were given effect to from i he 1st Januarys 1973, except in respect of revision of pay or scales of pay of posts which have been upgraded to Ra. 3,000 (fixed) or above. The present amendment to the lurst schedule to those Rules which indicate the revised scales for certain posta are accordingly being given effect to from the 1st January, 1973, so as to extend the benefit of revised scales from that date.

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM
