NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 31st January 1975

G.S.R. 24(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 and clause (5) of article 148 of the Constitution and after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in relation to persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1973, namely:—

1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Amendment Rules, 1975.

(2) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the first day of January, 1973.

2. In the First Schedule to the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1973,—

EXPLANATORY  MEMORANDUM
The  Central  Civil  Services  (Revised  Pay)  Rules,  1973 which  have  been promulgated  to  implement  the  recommendations  made  by the Third  Pay  Com- mission  with  respect  to the pay scales  of  Classes  1, II, III  and IV  employees of  the Government  have  been  given  effect  to from  the first  January,  1973. The present  amendments  to  the  First  Schedule  to  those  Rules  which  indicate the revised  scales  for  the  various  posts  are also  accordingly  being  given  effect  to from the  first  January,  1973, so as to extend  the benefit  of revised  scales  from that date.
